It seems as if Switzerland had just got a new toy: Every newspaper, magazine, news broadcast is reporting about the first landing of a airbus A380 in Zurich. For those who do not know what an A380 is: it’s a huuuuuuge airplane! Surprise, the biggest airplane carrying passengers from one place to another.
Now, what is so interesting about this celebration of the huge airplane that has landed for the first time in Zurich and will probably land many more times in our important town? It’s the fact that this event, although it might be of no relevance to anyone’s life or to the political or cultural development of our country, has managed to absorb almost as many journalistic resources as an earthquake that has destroyed the lifes of hundreds of thousands of people. Okay, I am exaggerating a little bit. Sadly, I am exaggerating only a little bit….
Therefore, my picture of the day worships our god-like machine in the sky! Can you see it up there? Amazing….
