Tanzania is almost one million square kilometers. This huge coutry is crossed by just two railway lines. Especially the train from Mwanza at the shore of Lake Victoria to Dodoma is for many villages the only connection to the outter world. The only connection to the globalized world. But in contrast to the Mozambiquean train described in yesterday’s post, the Tanzanian train only goes from Mwanza to Dodoma once a week. Once a week the noise of the train makes all children run to the railway line and watch the world pass by.
