“Now that we have had lunch,  we can start installing the generator. It is not a new one, because the power plant has been originally built by Swedish people. They had constructed the house, the dam a little bit further up the river, as well as a pipeline to pump water up into the small storage lake behind the dam, but they have left the site without having installed the generator or the turbines. So after the Swedish there are now the Indish people here, not speaking any language we understand, but they know how to install this old generator and the rusty turbine. Soon we have electricity!” (Mbingu, Tanzania 2007)
